Professional Experience
A daughter of 2 teachers and educated in the public school system in Roslyn, NY. I have an Undergraduate degree in Art Education and a Masters degree in Special Education, both from the University of Florida. I started teaching full time while I was working on my Masters degree. I have taught visual arts to students in grades k-12.
I have also worked in a variety of out of school time programs. I have spent numerous summers working as a Residential Life Coordinator and Group Leader with Duke University’s Talent Identification Program. I also worked in Somerville expanding the Middle Grades After School program.
Currently, I work as the Chief of Staff in a non-profit that works to get teachers engaged in educational policy.
Personal Life
In my free time my husband, Angus (Gus), and I work on fixing up our house we bought in Somerville in 2012. Gus and I met in college and got married in 2011.
I like to cook, go to the rock gym, hang out in my back yard, and of course get together with my friends to cheer on The University of Florida Gators!
